The “Freskon Greece” project showcased the vast production and export potential of Greek fruits and vegetables with 45 companies, cooperatives, and organizations at the prestigious International Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition, Fruit Attraction, held in Madrid from October 8-10, 2024.
This year’s national presence of “Freskon Greece”, organized by HELEXPO, included Greece’s most significant fruit and vegetable businesses, marking the largest participation to date and an upgrade in both quality and quantity compared to previous years at Fruit Attraction.
The delegation featured 40 companies, alongside the Regions of Central Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Western Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, and the Larissa Chamber of Commerce.
According to the organizers, Fruit Attraction 2024 spanned 10 exhibition halls and 70,000 square meters, recording its highest participation ever, with 2,146 exhibitors from 56 countries, including Greece. This represented a 7% increase over the previous year, with over 115,000 visitors from 145 countries attending.
The “Freskon Greece” pavilion highlighted Greek fruits and vegetables and attracted numerous visits from Spanish and international trade professionals.
The “Freskon Greece” initiative stems from the International Trade Show for Fruit and Vegetable, “Freskon,” held annually in April in Thessaloniki by HELEXPO. It is one of Southeast Europe’s largest events for the fruit and vegetable market, aiming to organize and showcase Greek industry companies globally through a unique concept.
