A.S. Episkopis since 1992 has its current form and based on the European regulation 1035/1972 it operates as a Producer Group. Today it counts around 250 member-producers who cultivate a total of 7,000 hectares of which 3,700 are kiwifruit, producing 10,000,000 kilos of GLOBALGAP , IFS , BRC and ISO 22000 certified products. The cooperative’s facilities cover about 8,000 sq.m. in building facilities with 19 cold rooms and modern packaging facilities in a privately owned area of 26,000 sq.m.
The cooperative possesses extensive experience, know-how and export strength in kiwifruit. It trades 4,000 tons of kiwi annually, of which 90% is exported to European countries (Italy, Poland, France, Spain, Germany, etc.) but also to other countries (America, Canada, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, India, Argentina, South Korea, etc.) ). Driven by evolution and continuous development, the goal of the Cooperative is to make Greek kiwifruit known worldwide, but also to discover new and modern agro-technological data for kiwifruit and pass it on to its producers.
